Lose the fat fast

So your ready to change your lifestyle. Your ready to become a new person. So where do you start? There are two starting points- yourself, and knowledge. I will focus on looking at yourself in this post.

So, before you begin, its time to take a look at yourself. If your going to succeed in this new lifestyle, your motives and goals must be correct. Otherwise you will certainly flounder. My first and most important question to you is- How much do you want this?

If you want it a lot, turn back now. That’s not good enough. What I ‘want’ is for you to ‘need’ it. I need you to have the passion, the intensity, the desire, the determination. I want you to come to a point where you will accept nothing but victory, even if it takes you your life to achieve it.

This is the core of body building and fitness. It is what separates those who look great from those who stare longingly at the small swimsuit she has always wanted to wear, or the hot babe he has always wanted to talk to.

I don’t claim to be a mind reader, but I’d guess the next question on your mind is- How do I get to this stage? How do I know if I am there?

There is no sure method I can lay out for you. I can only try to inspire you, and from there it is up to each individual to consult him or herself and determine whether he or she will commit to this new lifestyle.

My advice is as follows. Every day, you chose to be great, or you chose to be mediocre. You never stay the same any day. You either move closer or further from your goals. We all of us have one life, and one life only. You only get one shot at your teenage years. You only get one shot at your twenties, or at that girl, or that guy. You only have one life. Never settle for second best. You don’t have to be overweight. You don’t have to settle for watching the skinny girls in bikinis, or the hot guys without shirts on at the beach. You can be one of them! You don’t have to look back at 40, or 60, or 80 and regret all the years you have been depressed and self conscious and ashamed of your image.

It’s all about you. Your heart, your mind, you determination. Fairytales are fairytales, but a philosophy which has stood the test of time, and which millions have borne witness to, is that you can do or have anything if you want it bad enough. If you need it.

You must realize that every day is precious. Live to the best of your ability! Live well, fight hard! When your tired, put out, sick of training, it’s this fire, this spark, this glint in the eye, this beast of passion which says I will not settle for being second best, I WILL NOT LET BAD HABITS AND A BAD LIFESTYLE KEEP ME FROM LIVING WELL!

And please don’t misunderstand me. Yes there will be hard days, hard moments, and frustrating times. But more and more, as you see the results, fuel your passion, the ties and the desire for the old ways, the old habits, will fall away. You will come to love the new lifestyle as you realize what a waste of your precious life and precious body your previous habits were. You will love the feeling of wellness, wholeness, achievement. But you have to fight now! You have to grit you teeth and refuse to accept anything but victory.

NEED IT! SEE IT! BELIEVE IT! FIGHT FOR IT!

As a trainer one of the biggest problems i have with clients are their mindsets. Your thoughts and attitudes create your life. They affect everything in more powerful ways than you can imagine. Two people living in the same city, from the same background, same oppurtunities, same environment. One ends up a millionaire, the other ends up on the street. What was the difference? Luck? No, a mindset. A way of thinking, attutide, perception of challenges, approach to living. The mind holds the key to everything.

If your trying to lose weight and your mindset is ' i need to diet (eg suffer and sweat and torture myself for awhile) until i get get in shape, your mindset is completely wrong. For you, losing weight is just a medium. It's 'ill put up with this diet or program so i can look good. When i look good i can live happy like everyone.' Think about it. How enthusiastic have you been about your diets when you first start...then a week later your sick of it.

It's the wrong mindset.

Your mindset needs to be positive, but more, revolutionary. Anyone, no matter what personality, can alter their thoughts quickly. Imagine someone is having a row with their partner, then the phone rings. They stop, answer the phone politely, put it down, and start shouting again. Our emotions and thoughts can change quickly.

Losing weight isnt about simply dropping pounds. Its about identifying that your current lifestyle has resulted in you becoming obese, that its unhealthy, that your depressed or self concious, unhappy with you body. Its a realisation that you dont need a diet. You need a new lifestyle, or at the very least a changed lifestyle. This is the difference between those who fail, and those who succeed.

Those who enter with the mindset of a new lifestyle try to change their entire life to suit healthiness, fitness and happiness. There is no such thing as a diet to them. They simply eat differently in this lifestyle, and they love the fit and confident body they have as a result. They dont see training as a hassle. They love their new healthy lifestyle where jogging or boxing is a regular part of their routine.

Don't think that your going to have to suffer to get to where you want, upon which time you can start living again. This new lifestyle i will introduce you too is about ENJOYING life, and being CONFIDENT, having a routine each day which lets you live life to the fullest. No drudge diet or suffering. In fact, as you see results, and feel better and better, i guarantee you will fall in love with your new lifestyle and will never go back to the old.
Its about two things- Mindset, and knowledge.
Your mindset includes the way you percieve this change in your life, and your willpower. The knowledge includes the methods and the information by which you can achieve the change. I will help you with the knowledge. But you must start at home with yourself and alter your mindset and attitudes.

Acne

Lose the fat fast.

Hi all. Well, this topic is diverging slightly from my road of blogging, but as it has to do with our overall physical appearance and confidence, i thought to make a mention of it here.

For years and years ive struggled with acne and ive tried everything on the market, every ebook, every facewash, system, natural method...everything pretty much. I never achieved total freedom from acne.

This was frustrating for a long time as i spent hours and hours toiling away in the gym to build an attractive body. Instead of confidently flaunting the results of my hard work, a right i had earnt, i was still extremely self concious in public and ashamed to take my shirt off, because not only did i have acne on my face, but on my shoulders and arms as well.
